Innovationen und neue Entwicklungen entstehen, wenn sich neue oder unerwartete Verbindungen zu innovativen Ideen verknüpfen. Unser Gehirn ist eine Quelle von Abermilliarden solcher Verbindungen und bringt stetig neue Ideen hervor. Aber echte Innovation und Entwicklung entstehen erst dann, wenn man innovative Köpfe zusammenbringt, wenn sich Gedanken im Gespräch zu Ideen und letztlich zu neuen Produkten entwickeln. Das braucht einen Rahmen, der einerseits sowohl Austausch, Wechselwirkung und Reaktion ermöglicht, aber andererseits auch Raum für Gedanken und Entdecken bietet. Wir nennen das die Kraft der Verbindung.
Framework for innovation
With the new R&D Center in Kamp-Lintfort we want to create this framework for innovation: a lively breeding ground for innovation and development where the various research disciplines carry out lab tests together but also discuss their ideas in the open office spaces. With both room for concentrated work tasks and reviewing test results with clients.

Three building components
Room for innovation and development is the central theme of the entire complex and connects the three building components: offices, laboratory and test area. This enables constantly changing options for meeting others and connections to emerge. The compact configuration and the many visual axes strengthen the atmosphere of cohesion and enable experiencing the complex as a building with new meetings and unexpected discussions around every corner.
Pleasant working atmosphere
The broad access of daylight and the view of the green environment constitute fixed orientation points and create a pleasant working atmosphere in the office spaces and the laboratory, but certainly also in the test area. Moreover, the short distances and the clear spatial structure stimulate effective and efficient work processes. This transparent spatial layout also offers options for various flexible applications in the future.
